SKINVIVE™ BY JUVÉDERM® Injectable Gel is designed for intradermal use to enhance the smoothness of facial skin, specifically in the cheek area, for adults aged 21 and above.
Key Safety Information
Contraindications:
– Do not proceed with SKINVIVE™ BY JUVÉDERM® if you have severe allergies, anaphylaxis history, allergy to lidocaine or Gram-positive bacterial proteins, or previous adverse reactions to hyaluronic acid products.
Important Warnings:
– Risks include accidental injection into a blood vessel, which could lead to serious and potentially irreversible complications such as vision issues, blindness, stroke, scabs, or scarring.
– Immediately report any vision changes, stroke symptoms, skin whitening, or unusual pain post-treatment.
– Treatment should be deferred in the presence of skin sores, pimples, rashes, hives, cysts, or infections.
Precautions:
– Avoid strenuous activities, excessive heat or sun exposure, and alcohol for the first 24 hours to prevent redness, swelling, or itching at the injection site.
– Inform your doctor about any medications that could prolong bleeding or if you’re undergoing therapies that decrease immune response, planning laser treatments, chemical peels, or if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have a history of excessive scarring, or pigmentation disorders.
Possible Side Effects:
– Common side effects include redness, swelling, pain, bruising, lumps, firmness, discoloration, and itching, usually resolving within 7 days. In rare cases, inflammation, nodules, dissatisfaction, allergic reactions, vessel blockage, infection, and sensory changes may occur.
