HOW DOES SCULPTRA® BBL WORK?

Indications:
SCULPTRA® (injectable poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA-SCA)) is recommended for individuals with healthy immune systems to correct shallow to deep nasolabial fold contour deficiencies, fine lines and wrinkles in the cheek area, and other facial wrinkles.
Contraindications:
– SCULPTRA® should not be used by individuals who are allergic to any component of the product or have a history of keloid scars or hypertrophic scarring.
– Safety has not been established for use in pregnant women, nursing mothers, during lactation, or in individuals under 18 years of age.
Usage Specifications:
– SCULPTRA® has unique injection requirements and should only be administered by a qualified healthcare professional.
– Contour deficiencies should not be overcorrected as they are expected to gradually improve after treatment.
Special Precautions:
– SCULPTRA® should not be injected into blood vessels as this may lead to vascular occlusion, infarction, or embolic phenomena.
– Use at sites with skin sores, cysts, pimples, rashes, hives, or infection should be postponed until complete healing.
– Do not inject into the red area of the lip or around the eyes.
Most Common Side Effects:
– Initial treatment may cause swelling, pain, redness, bruising, bleeding, itching, and lumps at the injection site.
– Other side effects may include small lumps under the skin that can sometimes be felt when pressing on the treated area. Larger lumps, some with delayed onset with or without inflammation or skin discoloration, have also been reported.
